A Stanford-educated business lawyer turned mentor for creative professionals, Mellissa Seaman bridges the worlds of business strategy and intuitive intelligence. She began her shamanic path with the support of Maria 23 years ago, and has been walking with the guardians of the Tlish Diyan ever since as an initiated minister of EarthWisdom. Her clients call her their energy healer, their “shaman,” their professional intuitive guide. She is honored and delighted to be holding this profound ceremony with her shima, Maria.
Maria Yraceburu is the descendent of Nochaydelklinne, Apache Dreamer and Prophet who, over a century ago, brought forth visions of the current changing times of evolution. Raised in part by her Grandfather, HolyOne Juan TenBears, Maria has been called HolyOne herself. She is a ceremonialist, story-teller, and the author of over 25 books, and her many articles have been published in over 75 countries. She works through the EarthWisdom church, which has served as the non-profit platform for her teachings and programs to support native elders.

Mellissa’s resort-like, rural retreat property in the cedar forest on Deer Creek, complete with filtered clear swimming pool pond, cascading waterfalls, gardens, and goats, located in Nevada City, CA.
The location is about 75 minutes drive from Sacramento International Airport, and about 95 minutes drive from Reno Airport.
Past retreat participants describe this place as sacred, relaxing, and rejuvenating. Just spending time here is healing and fun!
This is a camping-based retreat! You’ll need to bring your sleeping pad and bag. If you need to rent stuff, we may be able to help you set that up. There is an outdoor bathroom with flushing toilet and shower. Meals will be served in the garden from the outdoor kitchen.
Begins Friday September 13, with arrivals between 3pm and 5pm, and activities beginning at 6pm with dinner and opening circle. Circle may go until 10pm. (Late arrivals are not appropriate for this kind of ceremony container)
Saturday September 14, we will enjoy breakfast and teachings in the morning, time on the land in the afternoon, and a light dinner before ceremony.
Saturday night, those on quest will spend the whole night alone in a spot out among the 20 acres. Guardians will hold space for them together and sleep in camp, sending them energy. (You’ll be assigned a role before retreat.)
We complete on Sunday, September 15 with breakfast, a rebirth circle, buffet lunch, playtime, and afternoon departures.
You’ll LOVE visiting us in the Grass Valley/ Nevada City area! It’s beautiful and sacred land, of the indigenous Nisenan people, surrounded by rivers and forests.
Our gold rush town is full of cute shops and fabulous restaurants! If you want to stay before or after the retreat, you can choose from many lovely options for camping or hotels.
For transport, we’d suggest you fly into Sacramento and rent/share a car. Choose a flight arriving SMF before 2pm on 9/13 and departing on Sunday after 3pm, unless you want to stay in town somewhere another day and enjoy the area. Let us know if you need more info as you are arranging your travel plans!

The fee is $995, and profits are tax-deductible as they go to Maria’s non-profit spiritual organization that supports the teachings and charitable work of Maria and Linda Yraceburu, as they provide healing with the horses, indigenous wisdom continuance, and support for elders and others in need.
