When you’re a projector in human design, or even just a deep, intuitive, sensitive, you have to wait for permission for the ask for people to need what you have enough to really take it in. Recently I’ve had this experience again as I’ve been listening to my sister wise women who are in business. Confide in me that the old ways of people finding their business are no longer working.

I’ve had now five different colleagues, all experienced, grounded, smart, intuitive business women. Just in the past week, tell me that they’re wondering if spirit wants them to shut down their business because their summit aren’t working, their emails aren’t working, people aren’t signing up. And yeah, everyone knows the economy is shifting. Everyone knows it’s an election year here in the US.

Everyone knows that marketing is being flooded with so many. I messages and fake news that people aren’t listening like they used to. And in a general way, everyone knows that. But I know something in a specific way. I have the answer to this. And in talking to my sister colleagues, I realized that I would be remiss were I not to share the answer to this so that wise women, the wisdom keepers, the energy trackers, the leaders and mentors of other rising women can continue to rise in their businesses and not read these signs and the devastating effects of them that are currently happening on people doing standard internet marketing as some kind of sign from

God that they’re supposed to back off and just work with one on one clients. No. Okay. Sometimes I swear it takes such a big two by four to the head for spirit to get it through me, that I’m needed to bring something to teach, something to share, something real. This happened to me, actually, before the pandemic happened. So it was that late 2019.

My guide said, hey, Melissa, we want you to start teaching. Start developing now a class for channels and wise women to learn how to bring their work, their sacred work that’s usually done in person, to bring that online and to offer it in such a way that it still feels like a juicy women’s circle, like a potent mystic experience.

That’s what we want you to teach. Now, that was a little bit of a pivot for me, and I was like, okay, so I did. I created the content, I created the course channel Your genius. I created the course, channel your online course so that these potent channels could bring their work online. And, and those courses are still active inside my academy for all my students and anybody can any of my students can access those and use them.

And they’re going great. Well, guess what? After my guides told me to create that coursework, the pandemic shut everybody down. And all of these healers and women circle leaders could no longer do their work without going online. Well, my business grew, of course, with lots of amazing women, huge numbers of potent wise woman channels that many of whom are still in my programs because my programs just keep supporting the growth of businesses.

They’re not just for baby business people. And I thought, wow, that was a really unique experience for spirit to literally give me the preview of the content that would be so badly needed in such a timely way. Good job spirit. Well, it’s happening again. It’s happening again. But this time it’s through the voices of all these potent, very experienced, wise women business owners who are sharing with me. It’s always worked. Leading a summit has always worked to fill my programs. Doing a launch with a recorded webinar has always worked. And why isn’t it working? Leading my yearly challenge in a Facebook group has always worked.

And this year, 2024, it’s tanking. It got me just a few people. They say it tanked so bad this year, 2024, that they’re threatening to shut their whole business down. It’s not a threat. They’re genuinely thinking maybe this is a sign and everything in me is like, nope, nope, nope. We cannot afford to lose your potent channel right now.

We cannot afford for your healthy, thriving, audience based business to dwindle. Nope nope nope. Why do I say nope nope nope. Because the things that I’m teaching to get new clients are working better than anything else. And I’m not saying this to just pretend it’s for realsies. And I feel a little bit like the lone voice in the wilderness who’s like, hello.

Look at the stats. The stats have been changing for the past five years, even through the pandemic. So if you look at the stats, unfortunately the numbers have pretty much only been crunched up to 2023 at the latest. Many of the numbers are only crunched up until 2022. In terms of what’s getting you opt ins, what’s working is lead gen, what’s attracting people.

And let’s be honest, most of the marketing companies that create these statistics and studies don’t even really want you to know the truth, which is all the stuff they’ve been trying to teach you about email marketing and affiliate marketing and launches with webinars and is not working. Summit’s woof woof. If you let us summit this year, you know what I’m talking about, Wolf.

And it’s not just you.

What is working? Well, ask my ads ladies over at Authentic Audience how well the quiz ads are doing. What? And the five day private podcast ads like yay! These things generate not just leads, but sales. Why? Because they are consensual. In other words, someone is choosing to take that quiz. Somebody is choosing to listen to that private podcast because they are compassion on it.

They’re intimate. That private podcast goes straight into your ear. It’s not some blah blah head talking to you on yet more zoom video, right? It’s it’s in your ear. It’s there while you’re doing laundry. It’s there while you’re taking your walk in the forest. It’s intimate. Similarly, a quiz, it’s intimate. It’s about you. It’s personalized for you. It feels like a personal, deep, deeply affirming, deeply acknowledging personal conversation.

That’s the stuff we’re all starved for. Are we starved for more emails with clever, clever clickbait subject lines? Nope.

Are we starved for more recorded webinars that are clearly happening according to a sales pattern, where you know that you’re not going to quite get all the info you need, and then there’s going to be a pitch. yeah. Are you starved for those? no. I’m feeling quite satiated with all the recorded webinars. Quite frankly, I don’t even I don’t tune in for them, do you?

Come on. How about, Facebook lives? Are you sitting through them anymore? How about, a five day challenge? Yes. Holy moly, they are flopping. I mean, people are signing up for them. You get emails on a list, but nobody’s reading your emails. You get people maybe join the group, but nobody’s actually engaging. Nobody’s purchasing. So.

I changed the curriculum of my academy for the rest of the year. I just changed it. I was like, crap, I gotta teach the stuff. I know that can help. Why is women not give up and closed down their businesses thinking that it’s some sign from God? It is not a sign from God. It is a sign from a radically, radically shift shifting, swiftly shifting.

How about that marketplace that has become more skeptical and distrustful and overwhelmed and barraged than ever? Do you think this is going to get better? Because I don’t? Do you think somehow people will start opening their emails again? I don’t do you think that people will magically get back into watching strings of panel conversations or summits with multiple speakers that are delineated in a certain time frame?

I don’t I don’t guys, I don’t they’ve been dropping for years and this year they tanked. Then the numbers aren’t even here yet to show you. That’s true. But if you’re experiencing what I’m experiencing and people are talking to you like they’re talking to me or it don’t look good. Meanwhile my quiz and my students quizzes the quizzes I help them make.

Now, this is not just any quiz, because I just took another quiz of a colleague today who’s like, take my Queen ism, let me know what you think. And I’m like, Wolf, you can’t. You can’t do that. You can’t have your first question be like, how much money do you make? In the second question, be like, how old are you?

No one wants to give you either of those bits of information after they’ve handed over their email. I’m sorry, that’s not a personality quiz, That will literally chase clients away from your face. Or scoring them, telling them how you think they score the areas in your life. Who the hell are you, lady? So this is a little mini rant, as it turns out, but I want you to know that I have now changed the rest of the curriculum for the year in the Academy.

That’s really an educational, consensual fee, very personal feeling sales conversation that you don’t have to have with those thousands of people who listen to that podcast that they will feel like you are having that very personal conversation with them and teaching them about the work and the value of your help without talking to a bajillion people.

Oh my gosh, we were getting like $0.60 a lead was going straight to the Professional Wise Woman podcast, and now I have five different five episode podcasts. I want you to have one because they work. They work. So I’ll teach you how. I’ll teach you how. In fact, I’m creating a five episode podcast on how to create your five episode podcast, how to do your quiz, how to do your more personalized, more, more conversational marketing.

And, that’s coming out soon. So grab it because I can’t stand it. I will not listen to more beautiful, amazing, gifted, experienced, wise women with large audiences. Tell me now my launches don’t work anymore, so I might just go back to doing one on one. No, no, we need our wise women thought leaders, and they need a quiz.

And they need a private podcast, and they need the systems that will keep growing their audiences. Because this world needs you. This world needs the wise women. So come on and play. I’m here for you. I continue to be devoted. To the wise women, to the wisdom keepers, to the channels who bridge the worlds. And bring all this incredible depth and spirit and natural wisdom down to earth.

Just don’t wait. Make sure you shift your own marketing strategies ASAP because next year I fear will not get better. It will continue this trend. It’s AI driven trend. It’s overwhelmed driven trend. And come this winter and election season, you want to have a different kind of pivot that works.
