Right now, I’m talking to the woman business owner in her middle years. This next chapter is your Wise Woman time! Your life, your body, and your business are changing. You are becoming what I call the Professional Wise Woman!
What does this mean for your business, you might ask. Well, it’s changing. By design, or by accident. It will change.
Your marketing must change. As a wise woman, you are no longer tolerant of the hoo-hah of typical marketing. Nor should you be.
The power that you have to deliver now, the wisdom that you carry, should not be pushed on anyone. Rather, you need to be choosy about who you work with now. It’s not just that you don’t want to chase people. It’s that you need them to come towards you, to want what you have. Otherwise, your wisdom is not received.
Your clients – They have to want it. They have to want it bad! They have to invest in it fully. If they invest in it at a higher level, they open themselves to the power and impact your wisdom can give them.
This is also why you need to be charging more in your wisdom years. It’s not just a matter of you wanting to make more by working fewer hours. That is just a pleasant benefit, a side effect. You need to charge more because your clients need to be fully invested in order to receive what comes through you. Now that you are a mature wise woman, what comes through you is POWERFUL.
But how do you get clients to pay you richly for this transformative wisdom you hold? Even if their intuition guides them to working with you, they are smart pragmatic people. Their brains will probably put up arguments against the investment unless you can make perfect sense of the results you offer. This requires a strategic line of communication, starting with something easy for them to understand. It’s the new version of your “niche.”
Then they need clarity about the depth of the work. Their YES to that part will pre-qualify them. You need to make sure they are ready to work with you, and that they will be fun for you to work with.
You need the magic words that fully convey the powerful mind shift and transformation you have to offer. You have to be able to tell them how it will change their lives, both so they can give you informed consent and invest fully, and also so that they will have the logical information to feel confident investing with you at a high-level.
Remember the fairy tale about the wise woman in the deep forest? Remember how people would leave a trail of breadcrumbs to find her? You have to leave your people a trail of breadcrumbs to come find you. You have to identify three magnets, three levels of messaging that draw them in further and further, prequalifying them along the way.
I call this your 3 Wisdom Magnets, and you need all three to be able to draw in new clients to your wisdom-based offering.
