Happy Interdependence Day!

In my symbolic world, it’s no longer “Independence Day.”  It’s more about Interdependence than Independence now.  Let me explain.

It used to be that you could be the Cock-of-the-Walk and be successful.  You could be a “Leader” and change the tides.  You could create your manifesto, stand behind it, and watch your tribe fall in line behind you. Independence, strength, courage, and being at the top were the success package.

That time is officially over.

And that way no longer works.

The whole grid of connection has changed.  You might say it re-patterned with the world wide web.  You might say the year 2012 brought a new interdimensional reality that is radically more connected, as so many indigenous wisdom traditions had predicted.  Whatever.  No need to “understand” it if you can just NOTICE it and learn to work with What Is.

We are way more connected, and it’s changed everything.

** So here are my best tips

1.  Radical Self Care

There’s a LOT of crap going on – from food modifications, toxic pesticides, and rapidly changing weather and water situations.  It’s a little tougher than before to take care of yourself.  You gotta find time to relax (it’s not just THERE like it used to be.)   You gotta find safe food and water.  You gotta unwind from the rapid speed up we’ve got these days.  Yep, ya gotta.  And it will feel radical and over-done, like you’re a picky pretty princess.  Do it anyway.

2. Lead WITH your Tribe

There’s no right answer except the one that comes through more than one person at a time.  And when you proclaim the truth, it’s a good idea to look to your audience and ask “Right? Anything to add?”   That’s because you’ll never have the whole story anymore.  And organizations work best when there’s more than just ONE mind trying to track the lightning speed shifts, changes, currents, and “truths” as they arise in this current modern climate.  So get over yourself and get help.  (Yes, even you Brilliant One!  Get some help from your peeps, from your mentor, from those you serve!)

3.  It’s a Team Game

All of it.  You can start on the spiritual level, devoting yourself to the Highest Good of ALL People, and not just your little self and family.  Then you can check your business and see if you are COLLABORATING with the others who share your values.  Who else is serving your clients?  (Yah, those folks you’ve been labeling “competitors” are actually your teammates at the soul-level!)  Who serves your peeps before and after you’d serve them?  This is your Team too.  But you might not be connecting with them yet!  That’s funny, huh?  So get out there!

Interdependence is no longer optional.

We are all mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually interdependent.  We are more informed, connected, and empathetic than ever, even if we are just beginning to notice.  There are threats and challenges in the world.  And we are ALL facing them.

So this Independence Day, I invite you to embrace this mind shift if it feels true to you.  It’s Interdependence Day!  Now let’s blow some lights up in the sky and let off some steam – TOGETHER!
